Personal me

Name is Victor Emanuel, a 28 y.o. Computer Engineer living in one of the capitals of Brazil, Natal. That age is calculated dynamically with JavaScript, so I hope it's correct.

Professional me

I started in 2018, with an internship as a Mobile developer using Ionic Framework at a small startup at the time, Incuba Tech, where I spent my first year working. In 2019, I started studying Flutter due to the company's strategy of switching to Google's newest solution.

Then, to slightly increase the alms I received, I joined a large company as an intern in Flutter mobile development for another year, ESIG Software. In addition to experience in mobile development, I acquired knowledge in backend with Spring Boot as well as carrying out unit and integration tests. After all, an intern has to do everything they ask. However, this was obviously crucial for my professional growth, I was already an intern working from end to end on an application.

After being hired at the same company, I acted as leader of the Mobile Team of which I was part, mainly because everyone left and new, less experienced interns had to be hired. It was at that time when the pandemic arrived in Brazil and I was introduced to the remote work model, a path of no return. In addition to working as a Flutter and Spring Boot developer, I worked on continuously passing on knowledge to new team members.

After playing around with my first formal job, I needed to earn real money and was hired by a company in the south of the country, 4,092 km from my home. Good thing it was a remote format, I didn't want to change cities yet. So, I started working at Kobe Apps, also developing mobile applications made in Flutter but now focused on the eCommerce sector.

In this company, all the projects I worked on consisted of company-owned Frontends integrated via API with Backends as a Service that implemented the stackholders' business rules. The backends used were generally Firebase, VTEX, Contentful, among others.

To handle CI/CD, we used Github Actions. Thus, Pull Request analysis, test coverage analysis, app deployment for internal testing and deployment to official stores were automated.

The stackholders I worked with were marketing managers from large retail companies. They wanted to add a new sales channel to their business and approached Kobe Apps to create a mobile app that would allow them to close purchases remotely and autonomously.

The main product I was able to work on was an application designed to have an easily customizable interface in order to be used at the same time by several clients from different retail sectors. This was possible thanks to the fact that online sales applications are generally very similar in terms of how they work. They all have a home page with product showcases, search with filters, checkout with delivery options and order tracking.
